Suspects identified

Police in Kalamazoo say they’ve learned who was in a vehicle with a decorative vehicle plate quoting a song by Hank Williams Jr. involved in a hit-and-run accident that critically injured a pedestrian.   Capt. Julie Parsons said in a statement Monday that 20-year-old Julian Watkins remained in critical condition at Bronson Hospital.   Parsons says the “assistance of citizens” led investigators to the identities of all those in the vehicle that hit Watkins early Sunday.
Police put out a request for help Sunday, including a photo of the broken decorative plate with the words “A country boy can survive.” Police aren’t saying if that clue led to identifying those involved and say they still need public help in the case.  (AP)
