Man arrested on meth charges

Cass County law-enforcement officials arrested a 42-year-old Marcellus man Friday on methamphetamine- and other drug-related charges.

Investigators from the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team said Carl Fields III was charged with possession of meth, manufacturing meth, possession of marijuana, manufacturing marijuana, maintaining a drug house, maintaining a lab producing hazardous waste and receiving/concealing stolen property.

Fields was arrested at his residence, in the 19000 block of Pioneer Street, following a request for assistance from the Cass County Sheriff’s Department.

Detectives located multiple meth labs, burned meth trash, methamphetamine, marijuana plants, marijuana and other drug paraphernalia at his residence.

Detectives also located stolen property, according to authorities.

Fields, who has been arraigned through District Court, is being held on a $50,000 bond.
