Marion Alberta Jackson, age 88, formerly of Three Rivers died Thursday April 4, 2013 at Royalton Manor in St. Joseph where she had resided the past five years. She was born in Saddle Arkansas on Oct. 7, 1924 the daughter of William and Amanda (Jones) Thompson and attended school in Arkansas. While living in Three Rivers, Marion was employed at Pioneer Seed Corn Company and at Lasco Industries. She especially enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening, and fishing.
Marion is survived by eleven children, Jean Armstrong of Three Rivers, Bonnie (Mark) Jones of Coloma, Sandra (Allen) Stroud of Long Beach, CA, Janice (Rick) Fitzgerald of Fayetteville, NC, Brenda (Tom) Baumeister of Eau Claire, Tammy (Lionel) Suarez of Richland, TX, Rick (Kay) Jackson and Roger Jackson both of Three Rivers, Ronnie (Janice) Jackson of Mendon, Jimmy (Bridgette) Jackson of Angola, IN, and Tony Jackson of Three Rivers; several grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Anna Randal; and a son, Donnie Ray Jackson.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Eickhoff Farrand Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday April 8, 2013 at the funeral home with Pastor Jack Midkiff of the Grace Apostolic Church in Decatur officiating.
