Ceremony for Aldi

A ceremonial ribbon-cutting for the new Aldi supermarket takes place Thursday morning.

A number of local dignitaries will be on hand for the 9 a.m. event at the new store, 1220 W. Broadway St.

The ribbon-cutting also signifies the official public opening of the store, where product sampling and an on-site sweepstakes will be offered.
