Sturgis resident Adam Parker has been awarded the Pro fessor Emeritus B. Swartz Scholarship for Excellence in Mathematics.
Parker recently graduated from Glen Oaks Communi ty College with an Associate of Business degree and plans to begin classes at Grand Valley State University in the fall to complete his bachelor’s degree in ac counting.
The $ 1,000 scholarship is awarded to a Glen Oaks stu dent with an outstanding record in mathematics courses. Parker was recom mended for the scholarship by Glen Oaks mathematics instructors.
The scholarship is intended to assist the student with ed ucational expenses at a four -year institution.
