Two men arrested on drug charges

Two men from the community of Jones were arrested after more than a pound of marijuana was found inside their vehicle.
According to a media release from the Edwardsburg Police Department, the 18-year-old driver of the vehicle attempted to flee the scene of a traffic stop at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the 69000 block of Section Street.
The driver adhered to an officer’s command to stop the vehicle after driving a short distance from the scene. Upon investigation, officers found a pound-and-a-half of marijuana, as well as a double-edged knife.
The driver was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and carrying a concealed weapon. A 19-year-old passenger was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
