Two arrested on drug charges in Cass County

Two people were arrested on drug-related offenses last week following an investigation by the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team.
Detectives last Friday executed a search warrant in the 100 block of North O’Keefe Street in the village of Cassopolis. Once inside the residence, investigators found four, one-pot methamphetamine labs, an undisclosed quantity of meth, meth paraphernalia, multiple components used in the manufacture of meth, along with some marijuana.
A rifle was also located inside the residence.
Michigan Department of Human Services was sought due to a young child in the residence.
A 34-year old female and a 31-year old male were arrested on charges of manufacture of meth, operating/maintaining a meth lab, operating/maintaining a lab producing hazardous waste, possession of meth, possession of marijuana and felony firearm.
The female was also charged with maintaining a drug house and the male with felon in possession of a firearm.
