Arrest following high speed chase

A high-speed chase originating in Park Township occurred Thursday morning after sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of gunshots fired.

The situation ended with the arrest of a 31-year-old Three Rivers man who crashed a vehicle he was driving in Lockport Township.

Sheriff’s deputies said they were called around 11:15 a.m. to the 54000 block of Fisher Street in response to reports of gunshots fired inside a vehicle in which a man and a woman were arguing.

Deputies eventually noticed the suspect vehicle driving speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour on Southbound U.S. 131. The driver, Cody Greer, crashed the vehicle near the intersection of M-60 and Leland Road.

He was treated for minor injuries as a result of the crash. Greer was charged with weapons-related offenses, resisting arrest, fleeing and eluding, and driving while intoxicated.
