Search warrant leads to drug arrests

Two people were arrested last week on drug-related charges in Three Rivers.
Sheriff’s officials said a search warrant was secured Friday for a residence in the 400 block of 6th Avenue, where investigators had received information about a house near Three Rivers High School whose residents were allegedly manufacturing methamphetamine.
Once inside the residence, investigators from the St. Joseph County Area Narcotics unit located methamphetamine, items related to the use of meth and meth labs.
The two residents were arrested for operating and maintaining a meth lab, possession of meth and maintaining a drug house.
Officials from the Department of Health and Human Services Department were summoned to take care of an undisclosed number of children who were not present at the time of the search warrant.
SCAN was assisted by the Three Rivers Police Department and the Michigan State Police.
