Life sentence for Three Rivers man

Westly George III, 29, of Three Rivers, was sentenced to prison last week for the 2015 shooting death of Eugene Jackson in Three Rivers.
He was sentenced by 45th Circuit Court Judge Paul Stutesman.
George was ordered to life for the murder, and also sentenced to three, 4- to 20-year terms on the charges of possession of firearm by a felon, possession of ammunition by a felon and carrying a concealed weapon.
George was found guilty by a jury Sept. 8 of the murder, which occurred in August 2015 in an alley in the 600 block of East Broadway in Three Rivers. Jackson was shot four times and died a short time later at Three Rivers Health.
