Centreville begins superintendent search

Board members from Centreville Public School will begin next month a search for a new superintendent.
Rob Kuhlman announced this week he plans to retire at the end of the current academic year.
A Minnesota native, the 60-year-old Kuhlman made the announcement during Monday’s board of education meeting. He is in his seventh year as the district’s superintendent, spending the first five years as dual superintendent of Mendon Community Schools and the Centreville system.
Kuhlman, whose salary is $80,000 annually, is under contract through June 2018, but plans to negotiate the agreement to conclude in seven months.
He replaced longtime superintendent Bill Miller, who retired at the end of the 2009-10 school year.
