Dennis Charles Tipton, age 73, of Marcellus, passed away early Saturday, January 21, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 8th, 1943 in South Haven, MI., the son of the late Charles and Esther (Jillson) Tipton.
On July 23, 1966 Dennis was united in marriage to Mrs. Rita (Bennett) Tipton. He was employed for many years at the Tyco Corporation in Constantine, before retiring in 2005. Dennis was a member of the Three Rivers Classic Car and Antique Restorers Club. He loved biking, photography, fishing, and working on his 1951 Chevy.
Mr. Tipton was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Steven Tipton.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife Rita Tipton, of Marcellus; two sons, Charles Tipton, of Three Rivers and Steven (Tina) Tipton, of Schoolcraft; five beloved grandchildren, Alex, Andrew, Madison, Emily, and Erin; one brother, Gary (JoAnn) Tipton.
A memorial service will be held at the Cherry Creek Community Church in Portage, MI on February 4th, 2017 at 1:00pm.
