Fire destroyed a home earlier this week in Mottville Township.
Just after 8 a.m. Tuesday, White Pigeon firefighters were called to a home in the 13000 block of Anderson Road.
Flames were coming from the home when firefighters arrived. Officials believe the blaze began on the east side in a living room area.
Two residents were home at the time and were able to escape. One of the residents was taken to a local hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
No other injuries were reported.
Cause of the fire has not been determined, but authorities said it is not suspicious.
The home is considered a complete loss. Firefighters were able to keep the fire from an attached garage, where a vehicle was parked.
