Glen Oaks names new Hall of Fame members

The Glen Oaks Community College Athletic Hall of Fame will add three new members this weekend.
Athletic director Courtney Ivan said Colon residents Mike Miller and Larry Engle will be joined by Mt. Pleasant resident Erin Strang during induction ceremonies this weekend.
Miller has manned the school’s basketball scorer’s table for 22 years.
Meanwhile, Engle also has worked the scorer’s table but for more than 32 years. He was part of the college’s first men’s basketball team and was in the first graduating class at the college.
Strang, who graduated from Sturgis High School, played volleyball for two years at Glen Oaks before joining the Lake Superior State squad.
The induction ceremony will take place Saturday between the men’s and women’s games.
