Susan Kay Hunt, age 66, of Sturgis, died on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017. She was born in Sturgis on May 6, 1950 the daughter of Earl Ivan Hunt and Ethel Marie (Middaugh) Hunt. Susie will be missed by her Gemini Adult Foster Care family where she enjoyed listening to Country Music and wearing the color purple.
Susie is survived by four sisters, Delores (Nyle) Crilly of Nashville, MI, Donna (Kim) Johnson of South Bend, IN, Peggy (Ron) Sanford of Mendon, and Teresa (John) Kuhl of Sturgis; three brothers, Earl Hunt and Ron Hunt both of Nottawa, and Joseph Hunt of Mendon; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a nephew, Nicholas Hunt.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 pm Friday, Feb. 24, 2017 at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Funeral services will begin at 3 pm Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Sandy Miller, Pastor of the Nottawa United Methodist Church officiating. Cremation will follow services and an interment will take place later in Babcock Cemetery.
