Martin Gillette, 45

GilletteMartin Paul Gillette, age 45, of Sturgis, passed away Friday morning, March 17, 2017, at his home.
He was born June 12, 1971, in Sturgis, son of Clyde and JoAnn (Collins) Gillette.
Martin was currently employed by ACM Plastics and had worked over 10 years for Longstreet Furniture both in Sturgis.
He enjoyed hunting and mushroom hunting.
He is survived by one daughter, Kristen Gillette of Sturgis; one son, Brent (Abby) Gillette of Huntington, Ind.; two grandchildren, Kyle Rose and Taylor Rose and expecting his third grandchild any day; mother, JoAnn Berna of Sturgis; one brother, Kevin (Kathy) Gillette of Sturgis; two sisters, Gloria (David) Badiner of Mattawan and Lori (Vic) Crapo of Peru, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Clyde and Colette Gillette; step-father, Leldon “Pete” Berna; and one sister, Karen J. Stevens.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating and honoring the life of Martin Paul Gillette will be held at the Sturgis Church of Christ at a later date to be announced.
