Sandra J. Smith, age 72, of Constantine, died on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at her home. She was born June 3, 1944 in Battle Creek, a daughter of Grover and Eleanor (Crabtree) Waldron. Sandra graduated from Sturgis Schools and attended Glen Oaks Community College. She was employed in housekeeping at Oaklawn Hospital in Goshen and Elkhart retiring in 2005 and worked at White Pigeon Elementary. Sandra attended Fresh Start Church, Elkhart and enjoyed crafting. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished her family.
Surviving are her daughter Sabrina (Jake) Hershberger, Constantine, son Bill (Sharon) Smith, Edwardsburg, grandchildren Katrina (Clyde) Black, Krista (Nathan) Weltz, Kasandra (Danial) Shuman, Heather Johnson, Kimberly (Brad) Gest, Michael (Lindy) Johnson, Tim Mabry and Leslie Mabry, greatgrandchildren Eddie, Sabrina, Ronnie, Jared, Arabella, Julianna, Tyler, Kylie, Bradley, Zachary, Landen, Matthew, Ashton, Megan, Luke, Amelia, Jessie and Addison, sister Joann (Frank) Green, and brother Gary (Debra) Waldron.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and son Timothy Mabry.
Relatives and friends will be received Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Eley Funeral Home in Constantine. Services will be held Saturday at 10 am at Fresh Start Church, 58970 Co Rd 3, Elkhart, IN. with Pastor Marvin Stutzman officiating. Burial will be in White Pigeon Township Cemetery at 12 pm.
