Update – Stabbing in Three Rivers

Three Rivers Police have released further details regarding an incident which occurred Monday morning on Constantine Street, just south of Broadway. Police responded to a 911 call shortly before 6 am, which reported someone’s throat had been cut. The victim was identified as 23-year-old Derrick Coley of Three Rivers. He sustained a 13-inch slash to the neck. He was subsequently released from the hospital. Police say the alleged assailant, 28-year-old Rodney Moore of Kalamazoo, and Coley had an argument over Moore’s cousin. The suspect fled the scene in his personal vehicle, and was apprehended a short time later by county sheriff’s deputies. Moore was jailed on an attempted murder charge. Bond was set at $500,000.
