Two injured in Mendon crash

A Grand Rapids woman was cited for disobeying a stop sign after causing a two-vehicle accident over the weekend in Mendon Township.

Sheriff’s officials said the 22-year-old woman was driving west on Michigan Avenue when she failed to stop at the Nottawa Road intersection. Her vehicle struck a southbound pickup driven by a 31-year-old Vicksburg woman.

The two drivers suffered minor injuries, though both vehicles were heavily damaged, according to authorities.
