Logan heads to Jackson ISD

Members of the Jackson County Intermediate School District Board of Education this week hired Jean Logan to a newly created position.

Logan, whose resignation as superintendent of Three Rivers Community Schools was accepted by its board Wednesday, will serve as early college administrator for what is described as the ISD’s Learning Services Team.

Her employment was approved by the Jackson County ISD board Tuesday.

According to an agenda from Tuesday’s meeting, Logan’s start date is Jan. 25. Supplemental notes state: “This is a newly created vacancy being added to the Learning Services Team to facilitate the participation and success of Jackson County high school students in the Jackson County Early College program.”

It also states that her salary will be $85,000 annually.

Logan, 52, served four years as Three Rivers High School principal. She was named superintendent after Roger Rathburn retired in June 2014.
