John E. Swinehart, age 62, of White Pigeon, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2018, at his home, following a two-month illness.
He was born Oct. 6, 1955, in Three Rivers, a son of LeRoy and Dorothy (Cyphers) Swinehart. He served two years in the U.S. Navy.
He was a resident of White Pigeon and Union all his life. He was employed by Franger Gas Company since 1979. He was an avid scuba-diver and dive club member and enjoyed underwater metal-detecting.
He enjoyed 3-wheelers and was a member of 3 Wheeler World.com.
On July 25, 1991, he married Liway Victorio in Manila, Philippines. She survives, along with two daughters, Amy Jo Watson of Jones and Amber Nicole Swinehart of Union; five grandchildren; brothers Ronald (Nancy) Swinehart of Bristol, Ind., and Jim (Robbin) Swinehart of Rockville, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, George R. Swinehart.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20, 2018, at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon. Services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
