Golf carts stolen from courses in Calhoun County

State police are investigating separate incidents of golf cart thefts from golf courses in Calhoun County.

The first incident occurred late Monday or early Tuesday at Turtle Creek Golf Course in Burlington Township, where entry was made by cutting a fence. The suspects damaged a golf cart, stole three golf carts and golf cart chargers.

Troopers said it appears the suspects backed up a trailer, loaded the carts and departed. Turtle Creek Golf Course sustained approximately $17,000 in theft and damage as a result of this incident.

It appears the same suspects entered the grounds and removed an additional three golf carts from Alwyn Downs Golf Course in the city of Marshall late Tuesday or early Wednesday, authorities said.

Alwyn Downs suffered a similar loss financially.
