Conservation District tree sale begins

The St. Joseph County Conservation District has announced the start of its annual spring tree sale.

Agency director Carolyn Grace said the sale features the usual assortment of conifers, deciduous trees and shrubs. The selection includes sugar maple, red maple, lilac, pagoda dogwood, black walnut, white pine and white spruce.

The products are sold in lots of five, with volume discounts for purchases of 25, 50 and 100.

Orders will be accepted through April 1 and pick up will be April 26 and 27 at the county fairgrounds.

Proceeds will help benefit the agency’s annual river cleanup program.
