Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in a single-vehicle accident last week in Branch County’s Coldwater Township.
State police said troopers were called shortly before 2:30 a.m. Thursday to Garfield Road, near North Behnke Road, in response to a car that had struck a tree.
Authorities said the 38-year-old driver was trapped inside the vehicle and required the services of Coldwater Fire Department officials to free the driver. He was treated at Promedica Hospital in Coldwater.
