Sturgis restaurant damaged by fire

Fire damaged a Sturgis eatery over the weekend. Sturgis Fire personnel were called at 2:30 a.m. Sunday to Culver’s, at 830 S. Centerville Road, after a report of smoke in the building. The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality and Michigan Department of Health and Human Services have detected an unsafe level of perfluorooctane sulfonic acid in the discharge from the Bronson Wastewater Treatment Plant.
