The incident occurred between 4 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Monday in the 69000 block of Vistula Road. A man wanted in Sturgis on attempted murder and malicious destruction of property charges has been arrested. Sturgis Police said Jorel Gefferard was arrested Saturday night at Gateway Village. Police believe Gefferard attacked another man with a hatchet at the Cato Lane apartments shortly before midnight Thursday.
