Three children were injured in a two-vehicle accident over the weekend in Florence Township. The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department said 43-year-old Melissa Sandker of Constantine was driving north on Lutz Road when her vehicle crossed over the center line and struck a southbound van driven by Jennifer Nusbaum-Suits, 41, of Constantine. An injury accident was reported to the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department at 3:30 P.M. Tuesday in Leonidas Township. The one-car accident occurred on Blossom Road, east of Case Road. Three area agencies were successful in pulling a man from Pleasant Lake after he fell through ice Thursday morning. Three Rivers Health has announced Marci Kohlhoff as the recipient of its inaugural Employee of the Quarter award. An OB nurse, Kohlhoff is a 13-year employee and won the award based on nominations from her peers.
