A suspect in a police pursuit was taken into custody last week in Cass County’s Howard Township. October’s unemployment rate in St. Joseph County increased by four-tenths of a percent from September. Figures from the monthly labor-market analysis by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget show St. Joseph County’s unemployment rate rose from 4.2 percent in September to 4.6 percent in October.
