Kalamazoo man dies in Colorado

A Kalamazoo native fell to his death at Rio Grande National Forest in La Jara, Colorado last week. Sturgis traffic light to be replaced with stop signs

  Sturgis city commissioners last week approved removing a traffic light at the intersection of North Centerville Road and West West Street. The signal is to be replaced by stop signs.   Three people were treated for minor injuries following a two-vehicle accident earlier this week in Three Rivers. Truck stolen

  A Ford 350 pickup truck was stolen last weekend from a public parking space in White Pigeon Township. State police said the 1999 dual-wheeled vehicle was in the Klinger Lake public access parking lot when it was stolen between noon and 4 p.m. Saturday. The truck featured a fifth-wheel hitch and had an Indiana license plate.

The complainant advised they received a call indicating their debit card had been temporarily locked. Bicyclist injured in crash

An 8-year-old Centreville boy was seriously injured late Wednesday afternoon in a car-bicycle accident on M-66 near the M-86 south junction. The unidentified youngster was attempting to cross the highway when he did not see a vehicle driven by Joyce Waltke, age 79, of Sturgis. The boy was airlifted to Bronson Methodist Hospital for treatment.

Car semi crash near Mottville

A Muskegon man sustained serious injuries in a car-semi crash on M-103 north of Barker Road in Mottville Township Wednesday afternoon. 51-year-old Lyle Maki began passing a semi with his Volkswagen Beetle, when he collided head-on with an on-coming semi driven by Joe Takacs, age 54, of Detroit. Maki was airlifted from the scene to a hospital for treatment.
