Open house at TR Health

January 7, 2010 by WLKM

Three Rivers Health, its Rehab Pavilion, and the St. Joseph County Commission on Aging (COA) collaborated in staging an “open house” on Tuesday (January 5th) at the hospital.

Nearly 40 senior citizens participated in the event that featured a luncheon, a tour of the hospital with a particular emphasis on the Rehab Pavilion, and bingo as a wrap-up activity.

The 12-bed Rehab Pavilion offers a comprehensive, integrated inpatient rehabilitation program that makes use of a “team approach.” The treatment team considers the needs and capabilities of patients and, with their input, develops an individualized plan of care.

The Rehab Pavilion at Three Rivers Health is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), is rated in the top 60 of nearly 1,600 rehabilitation facilities in the country, and received “Top Performer Awards” in 2008 and 2009. The facility helps patients with a wide variety of diagnoses and conditions including neurological disorders and stroke.
