Carnegie Center announces winner

The Carnegie Center for the Arts is proud to announce that the popular People’s Choice Award contest resulted in a tie this year between Karen Kipp, with a pastel titled Kingfisher Spirit, and Izzy (Gayle Harvey-Heckman), with a photo hand touched with watercolors titled For Betty With Eternal Love & Gratitude, As Ever Yours, Izzy.

Visitors to the Carnegie viewing the Regional Juried Arts Competition were encouraged to vote for their personal favorite piece.

The award for People’s Choice carries a $300 prize. This year the winners will split the award.

The Carnegie Center for the Arts thanks all of the artists who entered the 2010 competition, congratulates the winners and also wishes to thank those visitors who took the time to vote for your favorite.
