Three Rivers Police Chief Tom Bringman said the May 19 “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” fundraiser generated more than $13,000.
The event was a benefit for the Domestic and Sexual Abuse Services of St. Joseph, Cass and Van Buren counties.
Bringman said about 50 people participated in the one-mile walk at Three Rivers High School’s Armstrong Field. Pledges were raised by walkers and donations were secured through a variety of other donations.
A member of the agency’s board of directors, Bringman offered his thanks to the community for its support.
