Memorial service set for Stark

The family of former Three Rivers Police Chief Earl Stark has scheduled a memorial celebration for 11 a.m. Nov. 21 at Riverside Church.

Stark, who went on to serve as a member of the Three Rivers City Commission, passed away Friday at the age of 64.

He had been ill for some time and Stark’s health was a factor in his decision to not seek reelection to a third, two-year term to the city commission in November 2011.

According to Hohner Funeral Home, Stark has been cremated. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery following next week’s memorial service.
