Jack Bell, 75

Jack E. Bell, 75, of The Villages, Fla., passed away Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013.

He was born Feb. 9, 1937, in Fort Wayne, Ind. He lived in Indiana and Michigan before moving to The Villages in 2000.

Jack retired from banking as president of Key Bank of Sturgis in 1995 and then an after-retirement position as vice president at Sturgis Bank and Trust for five years.

He graduated from Lima High School, Howe, Ind.; International Business College, Fort Wayne; and Graduate School of Banking, University of Wisconsin.

Jack was a member of the Leesburg Church Of The Nazarene, where he was active in the choir and a member of the church board.

He has worked with Junior Achievement; on boards of Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce, Salvation Army, Kiwanis and the Sturgis Neighborhood Program. He was an avid reader, enjoyed golf, basketball, and RV’ing

Survivors include his wife, Jo, of The Villages; a son, Jeff (Carole), and granddaughters Christin and Katie Jo of Bradley, Ill.; and a sister, Lunda (Mel) Ney of Indianapolis.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, bJan. 28, 2013, Church Of The Nazarene in Leesburg, Fla., with visitation at the church immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Leesburg Nazarene Church, 2100 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Leesburg, FL 34748; Olivet Nazarene University, One University Avenue, Bourbonnais, IL 60914; or Cornerstone Hospice, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162.
