The Three Rivers girls basketball team saw its season come to an end Tuesday in the opening round of regional action.

Taking on a 15-6 Stevensville Lakeshore squad in the Class B contest, Three Rivers couldn’t recover from a rash of turnovers, falling by a score of 44 to 35.

The Wildcats end their season with a 22-2 record.

Boys basketball tournament action continues tonight. Class B contests involving local teams feature 5-15 Three Rivers against a 12-8 Vicksburg squad, tipping off at 6 o’clock in Edwardsburg. We’ll carry the game on WRCI 97.1 FM, with the pre-game show getting underway at 5:50. We’ll also stream the broadcast at WRCIRadio.com.

The nightcap from Edwardsburg pits 12-8 Sturgis against 11-9 Paw Paw.

In Class C, White Pigeon High School will be the venue for a 6 p.m. game between Marcellus and Decatur, followed by White Pigeon taking on Constantine.

In Class D at Athens High School, Howardsville Christian tips off against Climax-Scotts at 6. That game precedes Colon against Athens.
