Margaret Faist, 89

Margaret Jane Faist, age 89, of Three Rivers, passed away peacefully early June 1, 2013 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Margaret was born on February 12, 1924 in Hammond, IN., the daughter of Gomer and Eva Margaret (Ralston) Evans.

Mrs. Faist graduated from Hammond High School in 1942. On January 17, 1945 she was united in marriage to Mr. Robert “Bob” James Faist at Hyde Park Methodist Church in Hammond, IN. They made Hammond their home, where Margaret worked as a secretary at Woodmar United Methodist Church until she and Bob moved to Three Rivers in 1965 where they became members of the First United Methodist Church where Margaret was also secretary until retiring in 1987. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, Past President of the Three Rivers Lady Lions and Three Rivers Health Auxiliary. Margaret enjoyed working with crafts and reading, but her true love and joy was spending time with her family.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and her husband of 66 years.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, daughter, Nancy (Richard) Boyd; one son, James R. (Mary) Faist, both of Three Rivers; four grandchildren, Katherine A. Lutz, Daniel (Rachelle) Roberts, Kevin (Ruth Roberts, and Keith (Brandi) Roberts; ten great grandchildren, Ryan and Michaela Lutz, Matthew, Emily, Nicholas, Caitlyn, Chelsea, Hannah, Kylie and Taylor Roberts; one Great Great Grandson Camden Evan Roberts; cousin William (Maryann) Bradburn, of Kellys Island, OH.; and Sister of the Heart, Nancy Ann Ensley of Youngstown, OH.

The family will receive friends from 3 – 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the Hohner Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church, with Pastor Robert Nystrom officiating.

Interment will be held in Riverside Cemetery.
