Marvin F. Cornwell Jr., 60, of Mottville Township, White Pigeon, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at Michiana Health and Rehabilitation Center, following an extended illness.
He was born Aug. 17, 1953, in Sturgis, a son of Marvin F. and Flora M. (Comstock) Cornwell Sr. He had been a resident of the Mottville and White Pigeon area all his life.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
On Dec. 28, 1975, he married Cindy G. Householder in Niles.
He had been employed as a counter clerk at Martins Supermarket in Elkhart, Ind., for the past 10 years, and was also employed in recreation vehicle manufacturing at Four Winds and Coachman.
He enjoyed his family, Notre Dame football, traveling, fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting and NASCAR.
Surviving are his wife, Cindy G. Cornwell of Mottville; two sons, Marvin F. (Heather) Cornwell III of Houston and Adam (Dawn) Cornwell of Dowagiac; his mother, Flora M. Cornwell of Mottville; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be held noon-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013 at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow, with interment of cremains at a later date in Mottville Township Cemetery.
Donations may be directed to the family for brain cancer research. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
