Patricia Mae Kyle, age 78, of Sturgis, Michigan passed away Sunday afternoon September 8, 2013 at the Sturgis Hospital Emergency Room.
She was born June 23, 1935 in Sturgis, Michigan daughter of the late Paul and Marion (Rasbaugh) Ankney.
Mrs. Kyle resided in Sturgis for many years. Her early life was lived in Burr Oak where she was a graduate of the Burr Oak High School.
On November 7, 1953 she married Roger Dale Kyle in LaGrange, Indiana.
She retired from the Campbell Company Mushroom Farm in Brighton, Indiana following 25 years of dedicated employment. She had also worked at Cary Glad Farm in Burr Oak.
Pat was an avid and dedicated fan of the Pittsburg Steelers and the Detroit Tigers. She enjoyed traveling, watching boxing and going to the casinos to play the penny slot machines.
She is survived by two daughters: Karen (Thomas) Morris of Sturgis, Lou Ellen (Randy) Leonard of Burr Oak; one son: Randy (Jana) Kyle of Burr Oak; 13 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; two sisters: Donna Sweet and Pauline Ankney both of Burr Oak and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one daughter: Diane “Barney” Fast; three brothers: Paul “Bud” Ankney, Donald Ankney and Charles Ankney and one sister: Virginia Miller.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Hackman Family Funeral Homes – Rosenberg Chapel, 807 E. Chicago Rd., Sturgis, MI 49091, 269-651-3284. In accordance with her wishes cremation will follow the visitation. Private burial of the ashes will take place at the Burr Oak Cemetery in Burr Oak at a later date.
