Lillian Renfro, 92

Lillian Anne Renfro, 92, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013 in Winter Garden, Fla. She was born in Whiting, Ind. on July 27, 1921 the daughter of Andrew and Rosalina (Dancisak) Fedorko. She graduated from George Rogers Clark High School in Whiting with the class of 1940. She enlisted in the U.S. Navy WAVES in 1942 and served as a Radioman. While stationed in Miami, Fla. she met George Thomas Renfro and they were married on June 3, 1943 at the Church of the Gesu in Miami.

Following WWII George and Lillian lived in Three Rivers where they were longtime owners of the Fisher Lake Shell & Grocery. They moved to Mendon in 1978 where Lillian retired from Lear Siegler Plastics in 1986. She moved to Clermont, Fla. in 1990.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, George in 1984. She is survived by her sister, Rosemarie Bauman of California; brother, George “Jerry” Fedorko of Indiana; daughter, Karen (Renfro) Smith; son, David T. Renfro both of Clermont, Fla.; three grandchildren, Roger Whitus and Evan Stichter of Virginia Beach, VA and Zoe Smith of Clermont, Fla.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, in Riverside Cemetery in Three Rivers with military honors provided by Hice-Shutes American Legion Post #170. Memorials are suggested to the charity of one’s choice. Local assistance was provided by the Eickhoff Farrand Halverson Chapel of Three Rivers. Online condolences may be left at www.efhchapel.com.
