Joanna Long, 67

Joanna Long, 67, of White Pigeon, passed away at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 at Three Rivers Health.

Ms. Long last worked at Wilson’s Family Restaurant, White Pigeon. She was a member of the Gospel Community Church.

She was born April 6, 1946 to the late Cecil and Loni Bell (Combs) Williams in Hazard County, Ky.

Survivors include four sons, Mr. James (Karen) Long Jr. and Mr. Jeffery R. Long of Three Rivers, Mr. John L. Long of Sturgis and Mr. Jan (Gale) Long of Huntington, Ind., and a daughter, Ms. Valanecia J. Long of Howe, Ind.

She was also survived by three brothers, Mr. Edward (Phyllis) Williams, Mr. Larry (Cindy) Williams both of Huntington, Ind. and Mr. Donald (Pansy) Williams of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and a sister, Mrs. Jay (Shelby) Shockome of Andrews, Ind.

Ms. Long also leaves behind 23 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Nelson Williams and Clayton Williams; four sisters, Mrs. Versia McClellan, Mrs. Shirley Haines, Mrs. Virginia Jones and Mrs. Florsie Krieg; a grandson, Hunter Long.

Calling will be from 9-11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29 at Farrand Funeral Home, White Pigeon where services will be held at 11:30 a.m. that same day, with Pastor David Bell officiating.

Final resting place will be at the White Pigeon Cemetery. (There will be no graveside services due to weather.)

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Joseph Catholic Church, White Pigeon, MI 49099.
