TRDDA expects to hear this week

February 10, 2014 by Administrator

Three Rivers Downtown Development Authority members expect to hear this week whether the agency is awarded a step up to a “Select” level in the Michigan Main Street community.

A team of DDA and community members made a presentation before a panel of judges last week in Lansing as part of the process to earn the Select status. If chosen as one of the three recipients from the pool of four candidates, Three Rivers DDA would receive programming assistance from the Michigan Main Street.

DDA director Christy Trammell said MMS offers assistance in the form of manpower and expertise to help keep downtown districts strong and viable.

Three Rivers is current at the Associate level, the first of three steps in the MMS program.
