Pat Haff, 62

Patrick Henry Haff, 62, of Three Rivers, formerly of Brookston, Ind., passed away suddenly on Monday, March 17, 2014 in Cape Coral, Fla. He was born on Feb. 20, 1952 in Lafayette, Ind., the son of William and Elmina Haff.

Pat was an avid and gifted photographer and enjoyed watching racecar races, but especially enjoyed being a spectator at the Indy and NASCAR racing events. He enjoyed working outside gardening, campfires, being with his dogs and cooking. He leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife, Janet (Johannes) Haff; one son, Cody Haff of Three Rivers; one sister, Cinda Haff of Bloomington, Ind. Preceded in death by his parents, William and Elmina.

Pat grew up on a 300-acre farm outside of Brookston, Ind. He always enjoyed a day on a tractor working the fields.

Pat was a 1974 graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Animal Science. He taught school for four years in the Vocational Agriculture Program in Indiana schools. Pat retired from Pioneer Seed Company in August of 2013 after 35 years of service.

A service will be held to celebrate Pat’s life at the First Presbyterian Church on Sunday, March 23, at 1 p.m. with a luncheon to follow.

The Haff family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Covington Community Foundation Bike Trail, P. O. Box 175, Covington, Ind. 47932.
