Louis White, Sr., 71

Louis Lee White, Sr., age 71 of Three Rivers died Sunday March 30, 2014 at his home. He was born in Sturgis on July 29, 1942 the son of Walter E. and Geraldine (Hendricks) White and was a lifetime resident of the area. Louis was employed at Weyerhauser in Three Rivers for over thirty one years. He enjoyed camping and fishing. He especially enjoyed being a Dale Ernhart, Jr. NASCAR fan.

Louis was married to Janice Kay Arnold on June 16, 1990 in Three Rivers. She survives along with four children, Tammy White of Three Rivers, Louis (Michele) White, Jr. of Kalamazoo, Scott (Kathy) White and Jesse (Christina) White both of Elkhart; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; step-children, Bradley (Karey Ann) Stroup of Mendon, Vern Stroup, Jr. and Sarah Mosurek both of Three Rivers; 10 step grandchildren; 3 step great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jennie Regal of Schoolcraft and Judy Jenkins of Florida; several step brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Ray and Andy.

Cremation has been conducted. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday April 3, 2014 at the Eickhoff Farrand Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers with Rev. Jim Stillwell officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. A private interment will take place later. Memorial may be directed to the family.
