Tracey Lynn (Lewis) Butler, age 43, of Three Rivers, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the Borgess Medical Center. She was born in Vicksburg, MI.; the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas and Linda (Foster) Lewis.
Tracey graduated from Vicksburg High School with the class of 1988. She then furthered her education at Davenport College and Cooley Law School. On May 30, 1998 she married Mr. Patric Butler. Tracey worked for the St. Joseph County Child Protective Services as a Special Investigator and Friend of the Court for many years until her illness. Her first love is her family, and she also enjoyed gardening, reading, the outdoors especially hiking, canoeing, camping, Bronco trail riding, and fishing. She fought tirelessly for children’s rights throughout her career.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her husband, Patric “Pat” Butler, of Three Rivers and their daughter, Diana Butler; parents, Douglas and Linda Lewis, of Scotts, MI.; two brothers, Russell (Elaine) Lewis, of Vicksburg, MI. and their children Kyle & Jamie Lewis, and Richard “Rick” Lewis, of Kalamazoo, MI.; mother-in-law, Gloria Butler of Portage, MI, one brother-in-law, Mike (Dee) Butler, and their daughter, Michele (David) Rigozzi and their son David V, of Vicksburg, MI.; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many friends.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the Hohner Funeral Home.
Private interment will take place Sunday, June 1, 2014 in Moorepark Cemetery, Three Rivers, MI.
