An investigation into the source of a fire at a single-family residence over the weekend in Fabius Township is underway by state police officials.
The blaze was reported at 3:30 a.m. Sunday in the 15000 block of Gleason Road. The fire was centered in the living room area of the residence, firefighters said.
Two adults and their pets were able to escape unharmed. The house, however, sustained heavy damage from smoke and water.
