Kathryn Louise Green, age 79, of Jones, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014 at her home. She was born in Cassopolis, MI on June 4, 1935 the daughter of Dorwin and Muriel (Chappel) Sayer. She was married to David A. Green on May 18, 1959 in Roseland, IN. They resided briefly in California while David served in the U.S. Navy, and returned to Michigan in 1962. She was a homemaker, and worked for Ed Lowe and Mike’s Jean Shop in Jones.
Kathryn is survived by her husband, David; two children, Debra (Ken) Cupp of Mendon and James (Denise) Green of Jones; eight grandchildren, Angie Cupp, Jeff (Andria) Cupp, Rebecca (Jason) Jackson, Danielle (Aaron) Payton, Denise Anglemeyer, Donovan (Sarah) Gardener, Brittany Bishop, and David James Green; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Tom Sayer; one sister Ellen )Paul) Sheteron; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a grandson, John Cupp.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday Oct. 28, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Newberg, 13021 Born Street, Jones, MI 49061. Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m. at the church with Pastor Mike Owen officiating. Burial will follow in Poe Cemetery.
