Police shooting is being reviewed

A northern Indiana prosecutor is reviewing whether police officers acted properly when they fatally shot a man who they say pointed a gun at them while he was trying to flee.  State police investigators submitted their report this week to the Elkhart County prosecutor’s office about the September shooting that involved seven Elkhart city officers.  The shooting at an apartment complex killed 32-year-old Joseph Lee of Goshen. Officers were trying to arrest Lee on charges that he wounded a 16-year-old relative of his ex-girlfriend in a shooting a couple days earlier.  Prosecutor’s office investigator Ed Windbigler tells The Elkhart Truth that a decision on whether to present the case to a grand jury will be made in the coming weeks.  The seven Elkhart officers remain on paid administrative leave.  (AP)
