Telephone scam alert

The Three Rivers Area Chamber of Commerce has issued a media release alerting the public about a telephone scam in which a Three Rivers business is being fraudulently represented.

The caller asks prospective victims to press “1” to speak to the security department. They are then prompted to enter the number of their debit card, its expiration date and four-digit PIN.
Anyone who may have provided any quantity of information is asked to call 866-680-2265 and report the incident.
