No charges filed against two TR officers

Cass County Prosecutor Victor Fitz said charges will not be authorized against a pair of Three Rivers Police officers involved in a conflict in September.
Fitz was dealt the case due to a conflict of interest because the people involved are law-enforcement officers. The two were a part of a dispute that unfolded Sept. 29 outside a residence in rural Three Rivers.
The matter is being laid to rest after both parties decided to not prosecute the other. Fitz said the mutual decision by the two officers was significant in his decision to not authorize charges.
Three Rivers chief Tom Bringman said the department is to conduct its own investigation after Fitz acted on the case.
