Don

Donald Robert English, age 55, passed away early Tuesday, December 09, 2014 at Rose Arbor Hospice following a very brief and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on March 12, 1959 in Rushville, IN., the son of the late Thomas C. and Mary (Miller) English.
Don graduated from Three Rivers High School in 1978. He began his thirty-six year career shortly thereafter with Armstrong Machine Works. Don spent over eighteen years as a volunteer and member of the Fabius Park Township Fire Department. He also belonged to the Three Rivers Elks Lodge #1248.
Don loved his family, children, and grandchildren foremost as well as all of the many friends he made throughout the years. In 2004 Don married the love of his life Missy, whom his happiest years were spent with. He also loved cutting wood, beating his brother Ed at golf, hunting, as well as traveling with his wife and family to Traverse City.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory, wife, Alicia “Missy” (McCally) English; two daughters, Mary (John) Weinberg, of Three Rivers, and Ashley(Rod Evink) Ball, of Otsego; two sons, Mark A. (Tina) English, of Portage, MI., and Jonathon(Rosena) Ball, of Tennessee; two brothers, Thomas (Janine) English, and John “Ed” (Sharon) English, both of Three Rivers; grandchildren, Jackson, Isabella, Macy, Taylin, Quinn, and Karson.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11th, 2014 at the Hohner Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 12th, 2014 at the Hohner Funeral Home, with Mr. Mark Donovan officiating and Firefighter Guard Honors under the auspices of the Fabius Park Fire Department Station #3.
Interment will be held in Parkville Cemetery, Parkville, MI.
